近日,協(xié)和教科國際課程部科學展在學校圖文信息中心舉行。

    科學展是我校國際課程部的重大賽事,一般由科學學科老師牽頭動員,參與者需要經過初賽的篩選,才有資格代表學校參加復賽的評比。

    據悉,這是學校第三次舉行規(guī)模如此龐大的科學展。為了保證秩序和安全,參賽者被分成了三個組,分別是9年級組、10年級組、11及12年級組,每組評選一二三名,得分靠前的五位同學將有資格參加5月23日的總評選。

    在科學展中,參賽同學有的關注環(huán)保問題,研究如何有效溶解生活垃圾;有的關注生物演化,調查寄生蟲感染;更有同學將視角投向了前沿科技,展示出新一代對于未知的渴求和嚴謹的求索精神。

    經過激烈角逐,Roy、Anna、Helen等數位同學勝出,并接受了Dennis老師頒發(fā)的獎牌和獎章,除此之外,在繪制科學展海報中脫穎而出的Cindy、Jimmy等也獲得了Kevin校長的表彰。

    Recently, Science Fair 2016 was held in the Learning Resource Center.

    The major event of Science Fair was led by science teachers. Participants who passed the preliminary screening, are eligible to participate in the semi-finals of the competition on behalf of the school.

    After the competitive event, the first five groups were recognized to be qualified to attend the final competition. The five groups were from Grade 9&10 and Grade 11&12 respectively.

    What the students showed us is very amazing. Their projects involved a wide range of issues, including environmental protection, disposal of household garbage, biological evolution, parasitic infection, and even advanced technology, showing their eager for knowledge and spirit of exploration.

    Mr. Larcombe presented medals to winners of projects, and Mr. Harrison, our principal presented medals to those best poster designers.
